We are excited to announce that our partner from KU Leuven introduced the SEEDS pilot at the Pixii Expert Day held in April! This event showcased innovative approaches to hybrid and collective thermal systems, emphasizing the importance of system integration to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability.

During their presentation, representatives from KU Leuven discussed the De Schipjes pilot in Belgium. They highlighted the benefits of integrating various technologies, such as air-source and ground-source heat pumps, to optimize energy use while minimizing costs. The team also presented their findings on model predictive control (MPC) versus traditional rule-based control (RBC), demonstrating that MPC significantly improves thermal comfort and reduces electricity consumption.

We express our gratitude towards our partners from KU Leuven! Their insights underscore the potential for innovative designs to transform energy systems in residential settings.
