Within the SEEDS project, DUTH acts as the pilot site owner and technical provider, with a hands-on role across both the assessment and implementation phases. DUTH supported the development of a comprehensive baseline understanding of the pilot building, including analysis of energy consumption patterns, existing infrastructure and services, and the availability of locally sourced materials, in order to identify feasible and context appropriate improvement pathways.
Building on the baseline assessment, DUTH contributed to the definition of more sustainable and circular solutions, focusing on efficient resource use and reduced environmental impact. Key implementation progress at the pilot site includes the installation and commissioning of bifacial photovoltaic (PV) panels and an electric vehicle (EV) charging point, two critical components for the project’s deployment.
In parallel, DUTH completed the installation of environmental sensors in 20 rooms of the building, measuring parameters such as indoor air temperature, relative humidity, and CO₂ concentration. The collected data support continuous monitoring and the subsequent evaluation of overall system performance at the pilot site.
All tasks related to assessment, installation, and commissioning have been completed. The pilot is now transitioning to the monitoring and evaluation phase.
